Nan hauser was with a camera crew who wanted to film her in the water alongside humpback whales. It turns out this is not atypical behavior for humpbacks — they’re one of the nicest animals in the sea or on land and have been. In september, she had an encounter with a humpback whale that was like nothing she had experienced before.

That was until a whale lead her back to the safety of her boat. The cameraman who filmed the encounter nearby had never filmed whales before, either, so was unaware of just how unique this behaviour was. One of the whales swam right up to her and began nudging her with his mouth and chin.
